…To be listed as a finalist in the Social Business Wales, Community based SE Award category 2024. We had a great evening celebrating with other businesses at Venue Cymru in Llandudno in October 2024.

Since Glyn Wylfa and Caffi Wylfa started trading in 2013 we have created 17 jobs in the Caffi and supported our tenants who have created 30 jobs. We have invested continually to increase our capacity, support our employees and tenants and donated to local charities and organisations. Recent investments have reduced our electricity usage by over 40%. We are proud to be a registered member of Social Enterprise UK.

The directors and employees of Glyn Wylfa and Caffi Wylfa are extremely proud to receive the Wrexham Community Business Award for Social Enterprise 2023, presented at a fantastic event. We have made great advances over the last ten years in our mission for the benefit of Chirk and the local community’, with the great support from our customers, tenants and other stakeholders, including WCBC, Chirk Town Council and our local MP and MS.
We wish to congratulate all winners and finalists in the awards and hopefully we can work with them to further support the Community in Wrexham and the border counties
