Jim Heath at Cafe – Caffi Wylfa

We caught up with local artist Jim Heath at Cafe – Caffi Wylfa to learn more about his artwork. When asked how he selects his sketching subjects, Jim smiled and said it could be anything that catches his eye. He always carries his sketchbook, and at Caffi Wylfa, you can see a collage of his sketches featuring the staff, customers, and community. Jim’s work is woven into Chirk Town Council’s fabric, from the butcher’s and grocer’s shops to the train station and even people’s homes—he’s truly a local talent. We’re excited that Jim is planning to run a few workshops this autumn as part of The Bridge that Connects to share his insight and skills. Stay tuned.

Fe wnaethon ni ddal i fyny gyda’r artist lleol Jim Heath yng Nghaffi Wylfa i ddysgu mwy am ei waith celf. Pan ofynnwyd iddo sut mae’n dewis ei bynciau braslunio, roedd Jim yn gwenu a dywedodd y gallai fod yn unrhyw beth sy’n dal ei lygad. Mae bob amser yn cario ei lyfr braslunio, ac yng Nghaffi Wylfa, gallwch weld collage o’i frasluniau yn cynnwys y staff, y cwsmeriaid a’r gymuned. Mae gwaith Jim wedi’i blethu i ffabrig y Waun, o siopau’r cigydd a’r groser i’r orsaf drenau a hyd yn oed cartrefi pobl—mae’n dalent leol go iawn. Rydym yn gyffrous bod Jim yn bwriadu cynnal ychydig o weithdai yr hydref hwn fel rhan o The Bridge that Connects I rannu ei fewnwelediad a’i sgiliau. Aros yn gytûn.
